What is better than bacon? Bacon, Bluegrass AND Boneyard Beer… That’s what. We are at it again with our 9th installment of this epic event, and I know you’ve heard this before… but this will be the best one ever.
BACON! Every year our food trucks go bacon crazy and this year is going to be better than ever with multiple dishes from every truck and 4 days to enjoy them. AND— with every Bacon special you try, you’ll receive a raffle ticket. Drop it at the bar to be entered into the Baconfest 25 Raffles! (drawings will happen after the event). Belltower is a local string band that plays folk, bluegrass, and traditional American roots inspired music. All five bandmates are UO students and active members in the university music scene.

Led by the fiddler Mr. Kelly Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Etouffee combines red hot fiddle, shufflin' rhythm and blues, and kickin' Southern rock to create an exciting new sound known as Swamp Rock. This is music that will roll you down Bourbon Street or lead you into the darkest swamps, music so eminently danceable almost no one, young or old , can resist! We are STOKED to have Kelly back on our stage for this iconic event!

Tuesday String Band is made up of Western Oregon University (WOU) music students and alumni who are all dedicating their lives to careers in music. They love entertaining crowds with fast pickin’, witty banter, and string band versions of songs from a wide variety of styles. The band plays upwards of 100 shows per year throughout the Pacific Northwest and they have performed at several major Bluegrass festivals, including the North Cascades Bluegrass Festival. We are stoked to have them on our stage for this event!

What does it mean to be called a ‘Muse”?
As a noun, it means a person — especially a woman — who is a source of artistic inspiration. It seems like the perfect word to encompass this Annual Celebration of Women.
March 8 has been recognized as International Women’s Day since the early 1900’s. International Women's Day celebrates women's achievements in the workplace, and we’ve teamed up with PublicHouse to amplify and acknowledge the inspirational women in our lives, behind our pubs, creating our beer & spirits, feeding us and… performing on our stage.
Live Musical Performances: Prior to 1900 and even after, it was expected that "women would perform music, not make music.” Singing was something of an acceptable pastime for a girl, but playing an instrument….?! Writing songs? Producing records? It wasn’t a thing and, for the most part, women didn’t think of themselves as creators of music. So much has changed. So much will continue to change. Both pubs will be showcasing women-led performances and events throughout the five days, including:

Left on Tenth is group of friends who started playing music together on 10th Ave. in Bozeman, MT in 2016. They share a passion for playing live music and creating a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Their music manifests itself into a variety of genres from funky groves, to hard driving rock, to reggae inspired tunes, to slower sensual ballads. Since nothing is off the table every Left on Tenth show is a little different, but always guaranteed to be a blast for those in the crowd as well as on the stage. Steve Goodbar is an award winning guitarist, mandolinist, and singer/songwriter based in the Northwest. Introduced to progressive music growing up in Northern California, Steve soon started listening to folk, country, blues, and jazz records. An equally adept finger picker and flat picker on acoustic guitar and mandolin, Steve sports a wide baritone range honed by early years singing in choirs and bands of various kinds. "I'm very influenced by Country Blues and Old Time String Band music. Mississippi John Hurt, Rev Gary Davis, Doc Watson, to name three stylists I admire most. I venture into other genres as well such as a foot stomping Irish Jig or Reel performed on mandolin or guitar.”

Goatmouth is a four-piece band based out of our very own Eugene. Bringing you new takes on blues, rock, and jam band classics. After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, the boys encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives.

Chris Baron makes music, solo or with a band. He travels with a kick drum and guitar and some pedals.The songs have rock & roll roots, with folky senses and alternative methods. Chris composes music on the acoustic guitar, banjo or uke, and he says that his listeners connect with the simple heart of the three-chord song.

Young Jim Carr is a Chicago born,Colorado raised singer song writer currently based in Eugene Or. Young Jim's songs try to convey his longing for truth and love in his own unique poetic way.
Young Jim Carr got his nickname back in the late 80's when he was a roadie for a touring band called Little Woman. While on the road he bought a guitar from a second hand store and started playing. Working for the band Little Woman taught Young Jim that there is more to music than what is on the radio.. The most influential person for Young Jim is Portland Or. Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Joseph who indirectly taught Young Jim that the music must come from the heart to convey truth.

While seeking restitution for the ruined rug, he accepts a one-time job from his wealthy counterpart. What follows takes him and his bowling buddies on a mission full of intrigue, kidnapping, pornography, nihilists… and more White Russians.

For the final day of Brews, Blues & Chowder Fest, we welcome the Southtowne Saints to our stage. This trio plays a wide variety of Blues, Pop, Jazz and Latin music... The Trio features Michael Anderson, Anthony Proveaux and Brian Price… three experienced musicians who’ve performed professionally in Eugene and around the Northwest for many years.

For Night 2 of our 9th Brews, Blues & Chowder Fest, we welcome the Lloyd Tolbert Band. Lloyd L Tolbert has played harmonica for over 40 years and is a fixture in Eugene’s local blues scene. He is currently fronting The Lloyd L Tolbert Band. Regular band members include: RJ Herb – guitar & vocals, Rick Markstrom – drums & vocals and Michael Hatgis – bass & vocals. We also add Paul Biondi on horns, Guss Russell or Skip Jones on keys, Byron Case on bass and Tim Seifert on drums when the need arises. Lloyd has also enjoyed a long relationship playing in a duo with original Capricorn recording artist Peter Giri. In 2010 Lloyd was awarded first place at the Northwest Harmonica Championships.

Beergarden is STOKED to announce our Annual Brews, Blues & Chowder Festival. Each of our food carts will create a unique variety of chowder, we will host blues music from some of the best talent in our area and host a 100% Coastal draft list to round out this epic event.

Daddy Rabbit has been playing 50’s and 60’s rock with a little blues, honky-tonk and rockabilly thrown in for good measure in the Eugene area since then. The band, consisting of Jacobs on guitar and vocals, Marty Garber on bass and Steve Wright on drums plays the songs you will sing along to by Carl Perkins, Elvis, Jimmy Reed or CCR, plus lots of hidden gems from that era.
